Descriptions, deeds, payments for land sold through the Nelson Ludington Company within the city of Escanaba city limits. Inside the front cover is written: "Index. Syndicate 6 to 69, Mrs. C.J. Ludington 100 to 130, Estate of H. Ludington 131 to 145" Pages 1 through 14 are missing. Many names in this volume are familiar: E.P. Royce, J.K. Stack, Solomon and Julius Greenhoot, the I. Stephenson Company, Peterson, Cleary, Flemming, etc. Some of the land is in north Escanaba or the Wells area, others are probably being sold for lumbering. Other names are C & NW workers. |
