First of two letters from Lillie Kjellander to her daughter Mildred Brockman after the birth of her first grandchild, Billy Brockman in 1943. This is a short joyful letter, dated May 19, 1943, acknowledging the birth of Lillie and William Kjellander's first grand chld, Billy. She is both relieved and excited to have a grandson. Both this letter and the following one (A-2024-23-29) were saved for many years in the envelope in which the first letter was sent. And they obviously meant much to Mildred. |
