The Scrapbook contains articles about "My Girl of Long Ago" a song written by John Sourwine; articles written by Mr. Sourwine concerning business as a druggist and store owner; travel articles from New York, North Carolina, and Washington D.C.; an account of the opening of the second Hill Drug Store; articles about Democratic Party politics of the time. In a separate envelope are copies of "The People" a newspaper and advertising flier published by Sourwine and Hartnett to publicize their drug store's offerings, and make a commentary, often humorous, about life in Escanaba at the time, Several Iron Port and Mirror issues in fragile condition.
