14 pages from a scrapbook submitted to a federal "Schools at War" project in 1943 and ultimately sent to England to show high school students what American school students were doing to further the war effort. Photographs and text all glued to paper background. Subjects covered include scrap metal drives, war stamp sales, scrap paper drive, civilian defense, boys aid farmers. faculty war efforts, co-op work and Victory Corps program. A letter to Mr. Edward E. Edick, Principal, from the Treasury Department telling the school that this scrapbook has been accepted to be sent to England is included in the front of the book. |
