Purchased by Ed Donovan this certificate No. 129 indicates that Mr. Donovan bought two shares in the Delta County Agricultural Society in September 1897 at # 25.00 each. On the back of the certificate is the notification that Mr. Donovan assigned the two stocks to James Torn and Frank Greene, the SECRETARIES of the Association on July 7, 1899. The Delta County Agricultural Society predated the U P State Fair board, and was replaced when the State Fair began in the 1920s. Certificate is 8.25" x 10.25" in size. |
