Summary |
From John Walbridge: "When John and Mary Lou Walbridge moved into the house they built on Chaisen Road overlooking the Escanaba River, they began keeping a house diary. Each of them wrote in it from time to time. The entries include observations of weather, river conditions, wildlife and birds, social events, and the like. There is also a series of entries at the end recording pollution from the Mead papermill. (They had been organizers of the Save Our Air campaign in 1969 intended to force Mead to install air pollution controls.) There is a very interesting account of JW's search for his lost dog Dounia, who had been caught in a beaver trap." |
