Band members posed in front of Lemmer's Palm Garden Tavern at 308 Ludington Street. Approximate date of 1900 - 1910 for the photo. Wooden sidewalks, Lemmer name, etc. Photo No. 2 has names listed on both the front and back, though it is difficult to tell which band member is which. Names are: William Foster, Silvester Denter, Barnard Denter, Frank Hames, P. J. Groos, Tony Williams, Peter Beck, Fred Norman, Lue Kirstine, John McRae, Chet Schram, Nick Gunter, Fred Rempky, Matt Hemes, Barnard Welter, Henry Decker, W. Scott, F. Bolian, Nate Kempe. Donor has written a date of 1899 for the photo and lists Wickert Salmin as a bartender as well. |
