Postcard view of a "Cataract on the Escanaba River" showing a narrow part of the river with large rock formations along the banks. The river is moving quickly over the falls. This card has been hand colored, and there are several versions in file # 303. In very light red ink is printed "made exp. for F.S.B. # 168," making this a card sold by the Fair Savings Bank store. Card was mailed from Escanaba to Mrs. George Shorey in Rapid River. |
