Published by Lake Superior Views, A.G. Emery, of Marquette, Michigan. This show a load of iron ore being pulled by a steam engine and crossing the end of Goose Lake heading for the ore docks in Escanaba. There is one man riding on top of the ore in the middle distance. On back in ink: " Train of 45 card crossing Goose Lake Peninsula. Division of C & NW RR." Other copies of this photo are included in the collection. A.G. Emery was a Marquette photographer who published a weries of stereograph views titles "Lake Superior Views" circa. 1867 |
