The team and two coaches lined up for a photograph. There are two copies of this photo, and between the two donors,Leonard Job Anderson and Art Flath, most of the players are identified: Top row: Ray Cormier, 21- Nels Larson; 27 - John Harvey; 33- Francis Kidd; 29 - Jocko Raymond Middle row: Art Goulais; 18 - Ralph Christenson; 32 John Peltin; 12 - P. Sattem; 24 - J. Anderson; 11 - Arnold Johnson; 23- N. Fillmore; 20 - F. McGovern; 18 - Harry Munson; Bottom row: 15 - R. "Tubby" Brown; 14 - H. Finman; 30 - Art Flath; 31 - Karl Erickson; 28 - A. (Bert) Sharkey; 25 - A. "Toots"Roman; 26 - Cleve Moore; 10 -Harry Kirchner. The Blackhawks were a semi-professional football team made up of local players from the Delta County area. Leonard Job Anderson made a note on the back that H. Kirchner went to Michigan State University, and Harold Finman became the Escanaba Police Chief. Names and numbers may not be absolutely accurate as there are several copies of this photo and while the names are essentially the same, they are assigned to different people in the photos. The photo's location is not given, though it may have been taken at the Fair Grounds. |
