The band is standing in front of a downtown business. They are wearing white uniforms and the photo seems to date from the 1910s (possibly earlier). On the back some band members are listed: Walter Lippold, Frank Hemes, Chester Schram, Alvin Olson, Harry Broad, Frank Tolan, Jimmy Baland, Matt Hemes, Herman Neuman, John Christoff, Frank (unknown). Door in the background appears to be Dr. Lemire's office at 1101 Ludington (and one can see the reflection of the Fair Store in the glass windows behind the band), though the letters are obscured. Two children on left foreground, wearing knickers. |
