Description |
A group of eight men are standing alongside railroad tracks near a river that could be the Escanaba River. Many are railroad men and are probably part of a group inspecting tracts for the Escanaba and Lake Superior Railroad. Identified on the back are from left: J. A. Lambert, George Brown, W. J. Thick, George Haberman, Claude Hawkins, Bert Young, Frank Gilbert and Charles Henderson. Lambert was the roadmaster for the E & LS and George Brown was Superintendent, Haberle was a buyer for the Michigan State Highway Department, Charles Henderson was an agent for the C & NW. Brown and Henderson are wearing hats, the rest have caps. All are wearing business suits. |
