Legend on front in white ink: "leaving ground for the flight. Escanaba, July 3, 1911. Robb." This purports to be one of the first, if not the first, flight in Escanaba. It too place at the Fair Grounds, and there are two views of the event in postcard format. A long wood fence is in the background, possibly around the track at the Fair Grounds. This would be the original location of the UP agricultural fair in North Escanaba. Some spectators are lined up along the wood fence. |
