Notes |
Bryan, Michigan was located in Mackinac County's Newton Township. It was named for William Bryan, a logging foreman who laid out and built the village. It was the headquarter for the Escanaba Lumber Company owned and operated by J.K. Stack, and Stack's son, Richard Stack, was one of the early postmasters at the post office there. The village was renamed Pike Lake and eventually abandoned and the buildings demolished in the 1930s. |
