Description |
Donor says that "I found this token on August 30, 2018 with a metal detector at my great grandpa's farm near whitehall." The token was located in a farm field. On one side the token reads "Good for $1.00 (one dollar) on any suit or overcoat at L.A. Erickson Co. 718 Ludington St, Escanaba, Mich." On the other side "Good for $1.00 on a Purchase of $20.00 or over." The L.A. Erickson store was located at 718 Ludington Street as part of the Ed Erickson department store building. The business appears to have been operating from 1902 until 1928. Owner was L. August Erickson. (The business is listed in city directories from 1902 until 1928. It is not in the 1929 directory). |
