Description |
Membership ribbon from the Young Men's Irish Literary Society, November 25, 1899. Probably issued to a local young man attending the annual conference of this society which was held in Escanaba in 1899. Ribbon is 8" long 2.5 " wide with metallic fringe along the bottom. Colors are gold, green, and white. The writing is in gold. There is a safety pin on the back which is most probably a later addition. A short article in the "Iron Port" mentions the convention to be held in 1899 in the city of Escanaba. |
